Hello! I'm Birgit Kermes, and I believe that success is never final and any failure is simply feedback. However bad or difficult a situation may be, it always offers us a chance for a new perspective. What really matters is the courage to keep going at the very moment you want to give up or throw in the towel.

If you want to set a change for the better in motion in your life, every moment is the right one and every day is the best one.

What change would you like to begin?

What sets me apart from other trainers on the training and coaching scene?

I'm the only trainer in the Baltics with an NLP Master Trainer qualification.

What exactly is NLP?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) can be called an applied-psychology method that deals with studying the connections between behavior, thinking and language.

The aim of applying NLP is rapid, practical and positive change in a person's thinking, behavior and communication.

How did I come to NLP?

I began studying neuro-linguistic programming in my early youth, nearly 25 years ago. I'm a devoted fan of this field and method, and for me it's a way of life.

Today, in Santa Cruz, USA, I am a Master Trainer certified by the living legend of NLP, Robert Dilts— the highest level in neuro-linguistic programming in the world. Handing over the diploma, Robert Dilts said that I had now reached a place where I have unlimited freedom to use and an equally great responsibility to carry.

„You are now a Master Trainer and no longer have to use the methods others have created; instead, you can create new ones according to your client's particular nature and needs.“ The Master Trainer diploma assumes that I contribute to developing the field and also train other trainers and teachers, coach coaches, create new methods for personal development and models for achieving success. Besides going deep into the NLP method, I'm also a certified development coach, supervisor and communication trainer.

I earned my degree at the University of Tartu in communication, but I've also studied economics, theatre studies, literature and law. Work in the public and private sector has given me broad theoretical and practical know-how in leadership and communication, while also building a platform for understanding the world and giving me experience in understanding people. One client nicely put it: „It seems you see 360 degrees, and all at once.“

I'd like to believe that, besides seeing 360°, I can also look quite deep inside a person.

What cool things have I done professionally?

The keywords of my career have been mission and leadership.

Volunteer work

I've been at the start and on the leadership team of several world-changing projects. During Estonia's first Let's Do It! clean-up campaign I led the logistics team. At the first World Cleanup Day in 2018 I led all the actionteams that were active that day.

The chance to create positive change on a global scale would, in societal terms, be my dream job description.

After the World Cleanup, I worked for the Green Tiger project, whose aim is to make Estonia the coolest green country in the world. A clean world and a green mindset matter to me both personally and socially. I've invested nearly 15 years of my life in civic work, alongside my paid work or sometimes as my main job. I value very highly the leadership experience gained in large civic projects, because leading volunteers toward a shared goal demands special dedication, work on yourself, and forces you to refine your leadership skills down to the finest detail.

Marketing and communication work in the public and private sector

I've worked for a long time in the public sector, doing communication management and marketing and leading teams at EAS, the Rescue Board, the North Estonia Blood Centre and also in the private sector, at Eesti Pandipakend. All these work experiences have motivated me to study how effective organizations work and to make sense of people's abilities in the context of carrying out challenging visions.

I've worked as a trainer, coach and consultant since my third year at university — I've given communication trainings, consulted private clients, resolved crises and trained people to deliver their messages clearly. I've also worked as a communication lecturer at various educational institutions.

Creative work and projects

As a child I dreamed of becoming a theatre director or a diplomat. It didn't quite turn out that way, but alongside my husband Karl Kermes I've had the chance to work in theatre, comedy writing and scriptwriting. Working for Point Productions gave me a strong grounding in producing, acting, creating productions and performing in general. All of this has inspired me to develop my own methods and exercises for great public speaking.

Together with the Point Productions team, I've written stand-up material for Tõnis Niinemets, Kristjan Lüüs, Jan Uuspõllu, Ott Sepp and many others, for hosting events and private performances.

Right now my professional focus is very clear: to pass on my knowledge specifically to

you and your organization. Because I have something to share, and I see

how it creates value.
